    Leads the Capital Engineering organization in support of the site providing expert engineering technical support for critical systems, process improvement, reliability engineering, critical system troubleshooting and business support services including: Engineering, capital project management/execution and Utility Support for US Operations. Must ensure a high customer service level, fiscal responsibility, ethical compliance, and continuous site operation.Coordinate Project Execution activities within the site to ensure compliance with local and corporate BI Capital Planning and Project Management Processes. Develop and enforce project management documentation standards in full compliance with applicable regulations (GEP, SOP, cGMP, GAMP, OCG, OCG). Work with Corporate personnel to deliver applicable RCPA submissions, Leadership Approvals, and Peer Review Execution.Coordinate and manage the LTF process for Capital Planning, coordination of project planning efforts with the Department Heads, local leadership and CIC. Owns the Site Master Planning activity and ensures periodic updates, proactive communication, and incorporation into the LT Capital ~~~ an employee of Boehringer Ingelheim, you will actively contribute to the discovery, development and delivery of our products to our patients and customers.     Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage the LTF process by driving project identification by the Department Heads and Enabling Cost Centers.

    • LTF must be integrated with the Site Master Plan.

    • This position will work with site leadership to manage and modify the Site Master Plan as required by the site business plan, Regulatory Agencies, and BI processes.

    • Develop, execute and manage the Capital Project execution for the site to ensure alignment with BI Capital Management Processes, Good Engineering Practices, Quality and Regulatory Requirements.

    • Edit, review, and approve financial investment intention and funding application documents before review by various CIC.

    • Work with Project Managers, local leadership and the CIC to compile all materials required for RCPA submittals and Peer Reviews for submittal and review by BI Leadership for projects over 2.0m.

    • This will involve managing the data collection and interfacing with the BI Peer Review Team to coordinate the meetings and the presentations by project teams and functional contributors.

    • Manages teams performance of core job activities as well as individual goals through use of MAG Plan process as well as manages teams career development through the use of HR tools.

    • Works with Sourcing team to ensure purchasing guidelines are being followed within the execution of projects, as well as work with Sourcing team to development master service agreements with key design and construction firms necessary for engineering activities.

    Requirements

    • Requires BA from an accredited institution in Engineering and/or Accounting with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Capital Planning for Engineering Projects or in Project Management of multiple project simultaneously or equivalent.

    • Professional Engineers License is preferred.

    • Experience in contract negotiation and dispute resolution is required.

    • Experience with leading employees and projects.

    • Proficiency in Organizational Capital Planning and Analysis is required.

    • Sound financial skills related to budgeting and cost control.

    • Vendor management and assessment skills will be required.

    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products is required.

    • Must possess strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and project management skills.

    • Able to interact with personnel at all levels within and outside the organization.

    • Demonstrated ability to anticipate information needs and ensure appropriate stakeholders get the correct information.

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to form and motivate teams comprised of inter-intra department BIAH employees, outside consultants and contractors.

    • Demonstrated ability to use influence to gain support and commitment from others and mobilize them to take action.

    • Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills across diverse workforce with the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner and influence up, down, and across the organization.

    • Technical writing experience is preferred.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

    • Knowledge and execution of and compliance at all times with departmental safety, quality, operational procedures, machine manuals and training manuals, cGmp's and company policies and procedures are required.

    • Must have a very high level of proficiency with communication abilities.

    • The position has contact with all levels of internal customers and must be able to discuss issues and ideas with an open mind and even temper.

    • Requires the performance of duties, which are non-standardized.

    • Has the capability to offer suggestions to improve work processes.

    • Must have basic computer skills.
