Job Details

1. Runs equipment (forklift) safely and efficiently to our standards daily so we have a safe, organized warehouse.

2. Pre-sorts raw miscellaneous, textile, and books as needed in accordance with our standards so we can send out the best of the best.

3. Understands where all products are stored or placed in order to help the team to maintain a clean and well organized warehouse.

4. Drives a forklift as needed proficiently in the warehouse, while loading trucks, unloading Karm trucks, etc. .

5. Communicate, daily, to the Warehouse Manager any necessary information that relates to their respective departments.

6. Cross trains regularly in as many areas as is necessary to assure that all jobs in the warehouse are fulfilled.

7. Must be able to perform all administrative tasks including but not limited to end of day count, BOL truck paperwork, benevolence records, and Amazon accounts. Also must be willing to go to the post office when necessary for the Amazon books.

Skills & Requirements

1. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an excellent command of the English language.

2. Must have a commitment to KARM Stores’ mission and mission statement.

3. Mechanical aptitude is very desirable.

4. Must be adaptable to change, and able to multitask or shift focus quickly.

5. Must have or learn understanding of stacking, wrapping , moving and storing pallets of odd materials on

   multiple levels including warehouse shelving.

6. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment under some stress and time constraints.

7. Must use and display excellent ergonomic body management skills in lifting, bending, stretching, walking,

   stair climbing, and standing.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVEL

High level of activity with some physically challenging elements.

Stand – up to 100% of a standard work day.

Walk – up to 75% of a standard work day.

Use hands to perform required duties – up to 100% of a standard work day.

Lifting and Bending – up to 75% of a standard work day.

MANUAL DEXTERITY

Must be able to drive, lift boxes, grip textiles, wrap pallets with plastic film and type.
