How you will make an impact: 

As an Assistant Staffing Coordinator at Northfield Retirement Community, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our Residents have the care that they need daily by maintaining our schedule and handling one off employee events to ensure that there is coverage at all times on the floor. You will be responsible for monitoring vacant shifts to make sure they are filled, observing overtime hours and attendance of employees, and even assisting in the onboarding, orientation and training of new employees. The right candidate for this role will be organized, flexible and willing and able to step in to cover vacant shifts last minute if they are unable to be filled. 

Schedule varies: This is a part-time position, 24 hours per week with the possibility of working days, evenings or overnights depending on coverage needs. Being on call every other weekend is required. 

What you will need: 

• Prior nursing or medical experience is required

• Prior staffing and/or experience working in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility preferred

• Strong communication skills

• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 35lbs

• Must be able to pass MN Background Check
