    The Assistant Professor, Physician Assistant Program teaches courses for the Cummings School of Nursing & Health Sciences. The successful candidate advises students for three semesters, Fall/Winter (considered one semester), Spring and Summer. They participate in accreditation processes; engage in professional scholarship; assist in the development of internship relationships and student opportunities; and participate in school and college-wide service.

    The Physician Assistant Didactic Faculty member is responsible for providing high-quality didactic instruction to students enrolled in the Endicott Physician Assistant program. This position requires a strong background in healthcare, clinical expertise, and the ability to effectively deliver didactic content to promote student learning and success. The faculty member will play a crucial role in shaping the knowledge and skills of future Physician Assistants, fostering critical thinking, and ensuring compliance with the College standards and program accreditation standards.

    This position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College. ECFA is a faculty union organized under the NEA (National Educational Association) and provides structure and support for all full-time faculty at Endicott College.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Teach 8 courses (24 credits) per academic year.
    • Advise up to 50 graduate students.
    • Attend department, school, and college meetings.
    • Participates in accreditation processes.
    • Engage in professional scholarship, research, and publishing.
    • Assist in curriculum development.
    • Participates in department, school, and college service.
    • Maintain and post regular office hours.
    • Perform other duties as required and as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College.
    • This is a 12-month position.
    Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree in PA studies, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, or MD/DO.
    • Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience if a clinician.
    • Teaching experience in a higher education setting, preferably in a Physician Assistant program, is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of didactic teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and assessment techniques.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in utilizing instructional technologies and learning management systems.
