The Department of History at Texas A&M University-Kingsville invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position specializing in 19th- and 20th-century European history. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to subfields in African history or Central and South American history. The successful candidate will be expected to teach surveys in United States history both halves of the world history survey and contribute to the department's undergraduate and graduate programs.

• Teach undergraduate courses in 19th- and 20th-century European history.
• Teach survey courses in United States history
• Secondary field in African history, South Asian, or Central and South American history.
• Teach both halves of the world history survey courses.
• Engage in scholarly research and publication.
• Participate in service activities at the department, college, and university levels.
• Advise and mentor students.

• Ph.D. in History
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
• A promising research agenda with the potential for publication.
• Ability to teach a student body with a variety of learning styles.
• Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Experience teaching world history survey courses.
• A record of scholarly publications.
• Experience with online or hybrid teaching formats.
