Aston Carter is partnering with a local manufacturing company to hire an Assistant Controller. Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a knack for leadership and a passion for optimizing financial operations? Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Controller and play a pivotal role in our financial success!

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Inspire: Oversee and assign tasks to accounts receivable and accounts payable clerks, ensuring efficient workflow and fostering a collaborative team environment.

• Performance Excellence: Evaluate employee performance, provide rewards, and implement disciplinary actions as needed to maintain high standards.

• Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with office vendors and ensure seamless service delivery.

• Cost Optimization: Monitor account trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and drive financial efficiency.

• IT Collaboration: Support the Director of Finance in managing essential IT services, including ERP and paperless systems, and coordinate with third-party IT vendors.

• Compliance: Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed, including state sales and use tax reports.

• Financial Reporting: Assist the Director of Finance with monthly financial reports and participate in physical inventory processes.

• Order Management: Enter and finalize equipment orders in the ERP system, ensuring accurate job costing.

• Strategic Support: Aid the Director of Finance in making decisions related to banks, insurance companies, and other financial matters.

Required Skills

• Accounting Expertise: Proficient in accounting, general ledger, month-end processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of balance sheets, GAAP, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Advanced Excel: Exceptional Excel skills to analyze and present financial data effectively.

• Management Experience: Proven track record in managing teams and driving performance.

• IT Savvy: Experience in IT is a plus, enhancing your ability to support our financial systems.

Experience Level

• Expert Level: Extensive experience in accounting and financial management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00
