Building and Land Technology (BLT) is a privately held, vertically integrated, mixed use real estate development, property management and private equity firm (~~~). BLT was founded in 1982 and has developed, owned and managed over five million square feet of commercial space and over 4,000 residential units. BLT’s numerous office parks, apartment complexes, single family subdivisions, common interest communities and adaptive reuse projects total in excess of 8,000,000 square feet of development throughout Fairfield County. BLT is also the developer of Harbor Point (~~~), a transformative mixed-use development in Stamford, CT. BLT’s holdings include more than 100 active real estate companies, a majority interest in William Pitt Sotheby’s residential brokerage firm with 28 offices and 1,100 agents, a mortgage and insurance company as well as numerous private equity investments.
Assist in managing all aspects of property operations, including building maintenance, tenant relations, and vendor coordination.
Support the Property Manager in handling tenant requests, including service requests and addressing lease-related inquiries.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure the premises are well-maintained and compliant with safety and building regulations.
Assist in organizing and executing community and tenant events such as blood drives, tenant appreciation days, and vendor visits. Coordinate catering and logistics for meetings and events.
Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors for necessary repairs, upgrades, and maintenance projects.
Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with lease agreements.
Oversee rent collection and assist with financial reporting, including preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and processing invoices.
Maintain accurate tenant files and ensure proper documentation for lease agreements, correspondence, and other important property records.
Communicate with tenants regarding building updates, events, and other notices.
Assist in marketing vacant spaces and coordinating with brokers or agents as necessary.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to property management and tenant occupancy.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in property management, with a focus on commercial properties.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive tenant relations.
Familiarity with lease agreements, building regulations, and property management software (e.g., Building Link, etc.).
Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and rent collection.
