Program Summary
KBR in Midwest City, OK is opening a temporary production line for assembly of aerospace components for which the local office is the design approval holder. Parts are being manufactured elsewhere and are schedule to be received starting in mid-February. There are currently 9 low-volume production orders with delivery dates from March 1st - September 1st
We are seeking multiple, skilled Manufacturing Operations professionals for a temporary assignment in the start-up of a new assembly line. This will require installing small, semi-precision mechanical components and may involve some soldering if that skillset is available. The ability to follow assembly instructions, document torque values and perform self-inspection to ensure quality work will be required.
This role also involves conducting various quality control and acceptance tests on parts, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, a strong understanding of aircraft systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in aviation or mechanical testing is preferred, but not required.
Read and understand detailed assembly instructions
Document quality completion of assembly steps including required data such as torque values
Work closely with the Quality department to complete material data packages
Manipulate very small hardware (0-80 screws)
Read and understand detailed testing instructions and document results
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
US person as defined by the US DoD as a US citizen or green card holder
Ability to pass a drug test
Ability to pass a background check
Reliable transportation to and from the facility
Preferred Qualifications
Skilled tradesman particularly in plumbing or medical device industry
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment as an operations technician
Certified Solderer for 1 position
