Felder & Associates is a boutique architectural firm based in Savannah, GA. We thrive on a diverse range of projects, including rehabilitations, new constructions, commercial, residential, preservation, institutional, and industrial designs.

Position: Architect 1

We are seeking a full-time entry-level architectural designer, draftsman, or recently registered architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of practical experience and a strong background in residential architecture.

Architect 1 Key Responsibilities

• Assist architects and project managers throughout all project phases, from schematics to final construction documents.
• Preparing detailed drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.
• Perform work that requires independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Receive technical guidance on complex issues and supervisory approval on project plans.
• Apply sound and diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices across a variety of assignments and related fields.
• Utilize advanced techniques and modify or extend theories, precepts, and practices in the architectural field.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Architect 1 Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of architectural experience.
• Degree from an accredited School of Architecture or a Drafting Certificate from a technical school plus several years of relevant experience.
• Strong residential background with experience in developing custom plans, elevations, and details-not just replicating standard CAD library details.
• High proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign.
• Excellent graphic presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly motivated, with strong communication skills and a sense of humor.
• Experience working in a professional setting.
• Bonus: A good sense of humor and bowling skills.

Architect 1 Compensation

Annual salary: $61,000-65,000, depending on experience and skill level.
