Applications Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for customer facing activities in the pre-sales scoping process

• Lead solutioning for custom designed products and services

• Collaborate and bridge the gap between customers, sales, sales operations, and other internal departments

• Interface with customers, identify requirements and needs to develop differentiated solutions

• Collaborate with sales to provide technical support, secure design wins, and drive revenue growth

• Prepare and design customer solutions based on application requirements

• Perform on and off-site customer consultation when requested

• Present concepts to customers and/or sales channels in support of pre-sales activities

• Support quoting activities with product configurations, cost analysis, and specification review

• Assist in project management ensuring timely follow-up and follow through on all assigned tasks & projects

Must Haves

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline required

2+ years' experience in application solutions (Co/ops or internships suffice)

Proficient in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and 2D CAD Software

Previous experience supporting a manufacturing company

This individual must be comfortable working with people
