    Overview:

    HR Professionals is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Application Architect to work with the State of Louisiana in Baton Rouge. This role involves leading the architecture, design, development, and implementation of an enterprise-grade application, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Architect, design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade applications.
    • Develop standards, procedures, and guidelines for application design and development.
    • Review the work of other technical project members to ensure quality, timeliness, and software efficiency.
    • Create high-level architecture specifications, addressing system integration and compatibility challenges.
    • Develop reference architectures, applications, and proofs of concept for application development solutions.
    • Collaborate with project and organizational leadership on continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Contribute to the review and evaluation of technology solutions, providing feedback to leadership.
    • Participate in team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
    • Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to State personnel.
    • Monitor, review, and audit the performance of the customer-agency’s replacement software, making performance improvements as needed.

    Mandatory Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-class .NET applications.
    • 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing CI/CD processes for automated build, test, and deployment using DevOps practices.
    • 3+ years of experience leading a team of software developers through all phases of the application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, debugging, documentation, and implementation.
    • Experience with monitoring/observability platforms and instrumenting applications to trace transactions and provide timely alerts around issues.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience in designing and implementing high transaction volume distributed systems.
    • Architect-level certifications in one or more technical disciplines (Windows, Linux, Cloud, Networking, Security, DevOps, etc.).
