Job Description
With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu's only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women's center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state's first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.
Our professional, attentive Anesthesiology team provides general anesthesia and pain management services for hospital patients and those who have outpatient surgeries at our facilities. The latest developments in anesthetic techniques provide our anesthesia care professionals with a variety of options to care for patients while ensuring their maximum safety and comfort.
If you can provide sensitive and meticulous patient care, you could help the Anesthesiology department support critical surgical and medical operations with outstanding technical skill and service. As the Certified Anesthesia Assistant, you will oversee the anesthesia assistant; perform patient care duties; requisition supplies, equipment and drugs; maintain anesthesia equipment; research cost-savings measures; prepare anesthesia equipment and drugs for daily use; clean and restock anesthetizing locations and assist the OR team in managing room turnovers. We are looking for someone qualified and reliable who has excellent communication skills, can work productively with others in a team-oriented atmosphere, and shares our commitment to deliver the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Health Science or related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Certified as a technologist and active participating member of the American Society of Anesthesiology and Technicians (ASATT). Current BLS CPR Healthcare provider course card or CPR for the Professional Rescuer (ARC). Two (2) years experience as an anesthesia assistant or technologist. Experience with cell saver and administration of IVs.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field. Balloon Pump Certification. IV Admin Certification. Cell Saver Certification.
