    Corporate Functions

Here within the Finance organization at Apple, we work with an immense amount of financial data that can be difficult to compile and present in a meaningful way. With so many eyes on the performance of our company, it is imperative that we have the best tools and processes to quickly dissect, utilize, and analyze all of our data accurately so that we may provide Apple's senior leadership with the right information to make sound decisions. We need someone who can help build these tools that will drive decisions made at the highest levels. We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to design, maintain, and innovate database solutions for Corporate FP&A. These solutions will be utilized to automate heavy manual or forecasting processes, expedite the production of time-sensitive deliverables, and be the source of interactive and dynamic analytics and visualizations. This person will work within the Data Analytics team to use the database, a customized front-end web tool, design UIs, Tableau workbooks, and our standard methodologies in order to replicate such solutions for our business partners. We are eager to find an Analytics Engineer who can quickly acclimate himself/herself to different areas within Finance and then provide quick and workable solutions towards building or improving our tools and analytics.

    Description

The role involves understanding and identifying the data needs of finance partners and modeling the structure of the data to be housed within databases. The creation of automated reporting tools that are intuitive, informative, and easy to maintain and update by non-SQL users is essential. Visualizing and conveying the optimal user experience of a customized web-based tool to be used as input to database solutions is also a crucial task. Collaboration with dedicated IS&T teammates to leverage their expertise in building tables and views and moving objects or changes into the production environment is vital. The role leverages Corporate FP&A's SAP HANA database platform, which can directly connect to other systems such as Snowflake, SAP, HMS, EDW, and Grid. The individual will be a focal point in improving reporting practices across Finance, ensuring continuous enhancement of processes.
