    Job Description:

    This Analog Design Engineer will design, test, analyze, and troubleshoot discrete Power Supplies, Sensor Circuits, Motor Controllers and or associated analog circuitry. This position will be part of the team that is responsible for designing power and analog circuitry for space launch vehicles, satellites, space avionics, Mars rovers, and deep space missions.

    Essential Functions:

    • Product Development

    • Analog Design portion of Transceiver communication systems, data collection systems, navigation systems, and controller units used for space missions

    • Work in a team environment to ensure all aspects of your design efforts will meet technical, schedule and design-to-cost goals

    • Interfacing effectively with team members throughout the organization

    • Responsible for the design of Analog Circuits from requirements to product delivery

    • Internal Research and Development

    • Design, Simulate, Analyze, and Test analog circuits

    • Component selection and evaluation

    • Analysis of power consumption, component stress and worst-case performance

    • Technical presentations

    • Engineering Support to Production

    • Engineering Support for Delivered Products

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

    • 2 years of Electrical Design related to Power Supplies, Controls, and another Analog Circuitry

    • Operational Amplifiers

    • Transistor Amplifiers

    • Active and Passive Filters

    • Transformer Design

    • Control Loop Design

    • 2 years of Knowledge and experience with circuit design and simulation tools

    • Matlab

    • Spice Modeling such as PSpice, LTSpice, or equivalent

    • Schematic Capture such as Xpedition, DXDesigner, or equivalent

    • 2 years of Knowledge and experience with circuit analysis

    • Node Analysis

    • Loop Analysis

    • Component selection and analysis

    • Worst Case/Monte Carlo Analysis

    • Component Derating

    • 2 years of Knowledge and experience with circuit testing

    • Basic test equipment fundamentals and calibration

    • O-Scope, Multi-meter, Impedance meters, loop analysis test, power supplies

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • Desired background in space or military avionics

    • Desired experience with military standards and high-reliability components

    • Desired experience with designing and testing for extreme environmental conditions

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BSEET) and minimum 2 years prior related experience.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Comfortable working in multi-disciplined teams

    • Organizational skills to manage a diverse workload
