    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    YOUR IMPACT 

    As the VP - Tax, you will play a fundamental role within the RPG upon which the team’s success is dependent. You will be responsible for direct and indirect tax compliance, financial reporting of taxes, tax planning, business advisory, and management of taxing authority examinations. Your work contributes directly to the RPG’s success, and the division is ideal for creative and collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail.     RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and effectively communicate with outside tax counsel, accounting firms, and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate tax planning, risk controls, and compliance;

    • Oversee tax compliance for Goldman Sachs Renewable Power, LLC and its subsidiaries using a combination of internal resources and external service providers;

    • Preparation of the consolidated quarterly tax provision in accordance with US GAAP

    • Identification of and execution on tax planning opportunities

    • Stay abreast of new tax legislation and developments and communicate to teams internally

    • Assist with audits

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field required;

    • CPA with at least 8 years of corporate tax experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm or equivalent;

    • Strong understanding and experience in tax accounting for publicly traded entities;

    • Experience managing large tax compliance processes and assignments

    • Experience in M&A transactions;

    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to deal effectively at all levels within the organization; and

    • Able to communicate complex tax matters and issues in a clear and concise and manner.
