Job Description

Join a dedicated team performing classified heavy modifications on various fixed wing military aircraft. You will be working in a mission-driven environment focused on protecting the American Warfighter by installing the latest technology onto military aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform classified heavy modifications on fixed wing military aircraft .

• Conduct depot level maintenance, aviation heavy maintenance, and sheet metal fabrication.

• Repair and maintain aircraft structures using tools such as rivet guns and blueprints.

• Ensure all modifications and repairs meet aviation standards and regulations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in aircraft, airframe, and aircraft modification.

• Proficiency in depot level maintenance and aviation heavy maintenance.

• Skills in sheet metal fabrication, aircraft maintenance repair, and riveting.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for aviation maintenance and modifications.

• Must own tools with a shadowed toolbox and etched or colored tools.

• Pass a sheet metal test on Day One with the potential for a pay increase if scored well.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have at least 6+ years of aviation structures experience if only military background.

• If possessing civilian experience, a minimum of 4+ years total aviation structures experience is required.

• Eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

• Preferred candidates are those looking for long term opportunities and career growth in aviation.

Work Environment

• Work in a climate-controlled, FAA-regulated hangar.

• Shifts are four 10-hour shifts, either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, with flexibility to work 2nd shift as needed.

• Approximately 75% of the workforce is on 1st/Day Shift and 25% on 2nd/Swing Shift.

• Overtime is regularly available but not guaranteed every week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00
