Summary:

Meta is seeking a Research Scientist to join Modern Recommendation System. The organization focuses on developing efficient foundational models as a platform to enable differentiated and delightful user experiences across Meta products. We are seeking a talented AI Research Scientist with experience in natural language processing, language models and general AI to join the team

Required Skills:

AI Research Scientist - Language Responsibilities:

1. Develop algorithms based on state-of-the-art machine learning and neural network methodologies.

2. Define, build and benchmark the efficient foundation models for recommendation system

3. Conduct research towards long-term ambitious research goals while identifying intermediate milestones.

4. Conduct research to advance the science and technology of language modeling, natural language processing and generative AI modeling.

5. Work with engineering teams to ship state-of-the-art models to product.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

2. PhD in natural language processing, language modeling or machine learning, model compression, model optimization or related areas.

3. 2+ years of industry, academic, or government lab experience in natural language processing, language modeling and/or machine learning , model compression, model optimization or related areas.

4. Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and diverse points of view to determine a path forward.

5. Experience communicating research for public audiences of peers.

6. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. First-authored publications at peer-reviewed conferences (e.g. EMNLP, ACL, NAACL, ICLR, NeurIPS etc).

2. 4+ year(s) of work experience in an industry, university, or government lab

Public Compensation:

$143,000/year to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
