Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor (afternoon shift)

$32-33 per hour | Brampton, ON | Afternoon shift 330pm-12am

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Afternoon Shift Supervisor to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our power distribution units are assembled and tested efficiently to meet project deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical assembly, and possess excellent team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble power distribution units using hand and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, air compressed power tools).

• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams to perform electrical wiring and install components into the outer shell (distribution unit).

• Test completed power distribution units to ensure proper functionality.

• Perform general cleaning duties such as cleaning the work area and building skids.

• Partner with a buddy to learn and understand the procedures for mechanical assembly components for different products.

• Supervise and manage the afternoon shift team to ensure work is completed on time and to the necessary standards.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years reading and working off of Mechanical schematics.

• 2+ years doing mechanical assembly with hand and power tools.

• 2+ years of previous team lead experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong team management and development skills, able to be assertive.

• Experience in production supervision and plant operation.

Work Environment

This position is for the afternoon shift, which runs from 3:30 PM to 12 AM, Monday to Friday. Candidates will receive a $1 premium for working afternoons. All materials are provided and organized for quick and efficient assembly. You will work in teams in a well-lit but slightly dusty facility. Comfort working in close quarters with team members is essential.
