    We require ONE of the following:
    • Applicant is enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program
    • Applicant has teaching experience that does not require certification, such as teaching in private school or in institution of higher education
    • Applicant is in sophomore year of college or higher and enrolled in a program as an education major.
    • Bachelor's degree in Math/Science related studies
    • State level teaching certification preferred

    • $13.50/hr
      • Fall hours Monday through Thursday, 3:30-7:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings starting September 7th TBD -you can work as few or as many hours as you would like
    • No lesson planning or parent conferences
    • Focus on making a difference, our directors handle all scheduling, payments, conferences, and planning
    • Earn FREE Sylvan Sessions for dependent children after 6 months of employment.

    This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

    • Tutor students in Math/Science after school hours
    • Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
    • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching at Sylvan
    • Inspire lifelong learning
    • Build confidence for learners using Sylvan's research and proven approach
    What you get in return:
    • $13.50/hr
    • Fall hours Monday through Thursday, 3:30-7:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings starting September 7th 9:30am-1:30pm-you can work as few or as many hours as you would like
