    About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking an Advisor Platform/RIA - Principal Engineer in Technology as part of Wealth & Investment Management Technology (WIMT) to lead engineering and development, supporting the new RIA and Investment Custody platform. Investment Solutions aligns Wealth & Investment Management's (WIM) investment expertise, solutions, and product offerings into a single center of excellence which results in an enhanced and more consistent advisor and client experience.

    This principal engineer will be coaching and mentoring all levels of team members, primarily in Java, React & Angular technologies. This exciting opportunity will be the foundation of building out the next generation wealth management platform for Wells Fargo. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at ~~~ .

    In this role, you will:

    • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups

    • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

    • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions

    • Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions

    • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization

    • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

    Required Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    Desired Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of development experience with Java

    • 7+ years of User Interface (UI) experience such as, Angular or React

    • 7+ years of cloud experience

    • 7+ years of investment banking experience

    • 7+ years of API development

    • 7+ years of experience with Agile tools

    • 7+ years of event driven development and microservice architecture

    • 7+ years of experience using development toolkit including Jenkins, GitHub, and Bitbucket

    • 7+ years of experience with Spring Boot, HTML5, JavaScript, API designs

    • 4+ years of MongoDB

    • 1+ years of experience with OpenFin/HERE container

    • 1+ years of Financial Desktop Connectivity and Collaboration Consortium (FDC3) app to app interoperability experience

    Job Expectations:

    • Ability to travel 20% of the time

    • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays

    • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

    Pay Range

    Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

    $144,400.00 - $300,000.00
