    We are offering an exceptional opportunity for an Administrative Technician in Newport News, Virginia. In this role, you will be the link between clients and various benefits providers, ensuring they understand and have access to the benefits available to them.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist clients with understanding and accessing a range of benefits such as healthcare, housing, welfare, social security, and more

    • Facilitate the completion and processing of application forms and related documents for benefits

    • Advocate for clients when interacting with benefits providers or agencies

    • Navigate and interpret complex documents and programs to assist clients

    • Maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of client records

    • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise between clients and benefits providers

    • Collaborate with team members and make referrals as needed to ensure comprehensive support for clients

    • Stay abreast of laws, regulations, and policies related to various benefits

    • Provide exceptional customer service through data entry, email correspondence, and inbound and outbound calls

    • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word to schedule appointments and manage client information.

    Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role within the non-profit sector

    • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook

    • Proven experience in customer service and handling inbound and outbound calls

    • Strong data entry skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy

    • Ability to schedule appointments and manage multiple calendars effectively

    • Prior experience with email correspondence, with excellent written communication skills

    • Knowledge of welfare and medical benefits, with the ability to provide guidance to beneficiaries

    • Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating excellent time management skills
