Description
We are in the process of recruiting an Administrative Technician for an opportunity in Newport News, Virginia. The selected candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that clients understand and access the various benefits available to them, serving as a bridge between them and the respective benefit providers or agencies.
Assist clients in comprehending the range of benefits and services that they are eligible for.
Aid in the completion of application forms and handle documents related to benefits like healthcare, housing, welfare, social security, etc.
Advocate for clients as needed, acting as a liaison between them and benefit providers or agencies.
Interpret complex documents and programs to provide assistance to clients.
Maintain confidentiality while keeping accurate records of client information.
Help resolve any issues or conflicts that arise between clients and benefit providers.
Collaborate with team members to make referrals as needed, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support.
Stay updated with laws, regulations, and policies related to various benefits.
Manage customer service tasks, including data entry, email correspondence, inbound and outbound calls, and scheduling appointments.
Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word to effectively carry out tasks.
Requirements
Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience in an administrative role
Proven customer service skills, with excellent interpersonal communication.
Proficiency in data entry tasks, demonstrating both speed and accuracy.
Experience with email correspondence in a detail-oriented setting.
Ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls, maintaining a detail oriented and courteous demeanor.
Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and report generation.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook for managing emails, calendars, and contacts.
Experience with Microsoft Word for creating and editing documents.
Proven ability to schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate logistics.
Familiarity with welfare benefits, able to provide basic information and guidance to clients.
Knowledge of medical benefits, with the ability to provide basic assistance to clients.
