    HOW AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    • We are seeking a travel program specialist to serve as a single point of contact for world-wide travel. This is a fast-paced environment where personnel interact will all levels of staff. The travel program specialist will have seating at a government entity located in Maryland.

    • The travel program specialist can expect to perform the following duties

    • The primary work duties include communicating with employees frequently and arranging travel

    • Prepare TDY package for traveler such as: meet/greet instructions, itinerary, travel orders, copy of passport, copy of visa, information card with travel number, and copy of e-ticket transportation

    • Complete authorization letter and passport application to obtain passport

    • Complete Pressey letter and form for visa application. Send visa application package to appropriate embassy via courier

    • Draft/send electronic country clearance cable to required site

    • Receive site concurrence messages via database. Draft/send cables for concurrence via database. Verify meet and greet has been entered by site

    • Complete visa application and follow-up with traveler for appointment to sign application and take photos

    • Ensure E-ticket number is recorded in database. Enter traveler's itinerary into database. Verify traveler has been ticketed

    • Verify traveler has all coordination items checked in the database before checking traveler out

    • Schedule appointment with traveler to checkout prior to traveling

    • Initiate travel coordination and monitor coordination ensuring timeliness and completion

    • Request account creation for traveler

    • Monitor traveler's preparation schedule ensuring visibility to appropriate offices and traveler

    • Schedule necessary training/appointments or engage appropriate offices for scheduling necessary training/appointments

    • Coordinate all travel with training officer and enter all required training into database

    • Monitor databases frequently for travel message. Prepare travel worksheet via database

    • Request reservations and follow up with reservation changes as needed

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • The position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph security clearance

    • The position requires High School Diploma and three (3) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

    • The core hours are 9:00 am-3:00 pm

    • The candidate must be able to operate in a team environment as well as successfully work on their own

    • This position is on customer site

    The likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.82 - $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
