ACTP System Administrator

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team in Hanover, MD. The successful candidate will provide technical support being an integral part of a diverse team while working at an Industry Leading Organization, where our employees come first in an environment with opportunities for advancement. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, installation, inspection, and documentation of structured computer and networked services. Provides engineering and design knowledge to meet client and technical specifications.

What separates you from other candidates is a strong background in systems administration; knowledge of server technology, networks experience; installation, provisioning, maintenance, operation, and testing new technologies; hands-on experience with managing Windows and Linux systems; and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of networked and disconnected computer systems, with the ability to brief outcomes to various audiences.

• Manage the daily activities of upgrading, installing, and configuring software and computer hardware systems to support multiple system configurations.

• Systems administration of hardware and software in support of developing and testing of information technology systems.

• Experience in administration of Linux and Windows computers and systems.

• Provides Tier II engineering support to a distributed services team using multiple HW end points with VDI, Windows, Unix, and Cloud environments.

• Design and document system configurations and changes, while occasionally working flexible hours to support SLAs and other deliverables.

• Performing regular security monitoring, testing, and mitigate findings.

• Experience with ticketing systems.

• Timely creation and maintenance of computer workstations and virtual machines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related experience OR a bachelor's degree in a STEM area.

• Experience with Windows & Linux servers and computers.

• Hands-on with the ability to perform break/fix desktop support.

• Experience interacting with Corporate IT Departments for ordering, replacing & swapping out otherwise unrepairable equipment.

• Ability to reimage machines in person and create virtual machines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM area with 5+ years of relevant experience and a RED Hat System Administration Certification.

• A+ Certification

• Understanding of Cloud-based training systems, {LDRNet & VMware specific experience preferred).
