    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. Key responsibilities include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, performing month-end close procedures, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

    How You Will Contribute
    • Responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks including but not limited to; open, sort and distribute daily accounting mail and e-mail to appropriate team.
    • Reconcile and process payments to carriers for return premiums.
    • Monitor TPA transactions to ensure they are posted timely and accurately.
    • Create remittances for retiree & COBRA payments, verify accuracy with service team, and mail payments accordingly.
    • Process monthly bank reconciliations for TPA bank accounts; assist with periodic audits of TPA bank accounts by providing required documentation.
    • Provide support to service team by researching and resolving carrier payment inquiries.
    • Review SCALE team cash applications; reconcile and track large accounts with multiple locations and payment allocations.
    • Assists with ad hoc projects.
    • Build courteous and successful relationships with team and vendors to improve office efficiencies.
    • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
    • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    Skills & Experience to Be Successful

    Required:
    • High School Diploma.
    • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
    • Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
    Preferred:
    • College Degree in a business-related field.
    • 1+ year office experience.
    Pay Range

    50000 - 60000 Annual

    The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
