Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a diligent and meticulous Accounts Receivable Clerk in Rockford, Illinois. This role involves working within the accounting department, focusing on the reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger transactions, as well as maintaining professional relationships with various personnel. The position will ensure accuracy in banking related transactions and compliance with laws and policies related to accounting and bank reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily input to the general ledger of cash transactions.

• Carry out daily and monthly reconciliation of all company bank accounts.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in store credit card receipts and deposits.

• Assist with activities related to month-end closing.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to accounting and bank reconciliation.

• Adhere to appropriate policies and procedures.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Use skills such as billing collection, data entry, invoice entry, billing, cash applications, and payment processing efficiently. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Experience in Billing Collection is a must

• Skills in Data Entry are required

• Ability to Enter Invoices effectively

• Knowledge of Billing processes is essential

• Experience in Cash Applications is needed

• Proficiency in Payment Processing is crucial
