Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Goleta, California. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the finance industry. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will handle a variety of responsibilities including processing transactions, maintaining records, and resolving inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit

• Handle general ledger tasks and bank reconciliations

• Actively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action

• Participate in month-end close procedures

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Opportunity to learn and handle reconciliations

• Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and knowledge

• Maintain a flexible schedule to meet business needs

• Conduct virtual team meetings as needed, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Requirements - Must hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

• Proven experience working as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.

• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Experience with bank reconciliations.

• Ability to handle month-end close procedures.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong numerical proficiency and data entry skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Able to work independently and within a team.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.

• Strong understanding of confidentiality for sensitive financial information.

• Proactive learning mindset and ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
