Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a diligent Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. The role includes a range of responsibilities such as managing accounts payable, handling vendor inquiries, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a key role in our finance department, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day posting of production payable invoices and credit card expense review.

• Ensure accurate posting of approved general expense invoices.

• Manage the weekly preparation of remittance advices for payment runs.

• Maintain and update customer records including the creation of new customer accounts.

• Monitor and maintain the central email inbox, resolving any issues as they arise.

• Handle vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in vendor statements.

• Record all outgoing transactions and payments received from customers.

• Ensure accurate data entry and invoice processing.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Fishbowl inventory subledger systems for financial management.

• Verify payment discrepancies and provide documentation to customers as needed. Requirements

• Possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and systems

• Demonstrated experience in Check Runs

• Skilled in Coding Invoices

• 3 way matching experience

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge and experience in QuickBooks

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

• Attention to detail and ability to identify errors

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
