Accounts Payable Lead

Hannah Savage with Robert Half is working with client who is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Lead in the Social Care/Services industry, based in Rochester, New York. As an Accounts Payable Lead, you will be a vital part of the team, managing account coding, utilizing accounting software systems, and processing data. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of accounts payable within our organization. You will be the go-to employee for questions on AP from other members of the team and will exhibit problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for resolving issues related to Accounts Payable.

• Display initiative in identifying and resolving coding and system-related problems.

• Process invoices in a timely and efficient manner.

• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations.

• Conduct regular check runs to maintain financial accuracy.

• Utilize your problem-solving skills to address discrepancies in statements and/or payments.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed.

• Maintain and update customer credit records accurately.

• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related field

• Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Knowledge of account coding

• Experience with data processing

• Ability to conduct check runs efficiently

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
