Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a role in the telecom industry for an Accounts Payable Specialist based in South Windsor, Connecticut. This position involves handling key accounts payable functions with precision and efficiency. It provides an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance team in a bustling environment.

Responsibilities

• Processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports in a timely manner

• Verifying the accuracy of invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals, and resolving discrepancies

• Preparing and performing weekly check runs

• Reconciling vendor statements and resolving any outstanding issues

• Assisting with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of transactions

• Communicating effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment inquiries

• Adhering to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting principles

• Utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks

• Applying skills in account reconciliation, check runs, and coding invoices. Requirements - Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with check runs

• Ability to code invoices accurately

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Oracle

• Proficiency in QuickBooks

• Experience with SAP

• Understanding of general accounting principles

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements

• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Proficient in data entry and management

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
