Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska, within the gas industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and auditing customer invoices, maintaining and organizing departmental records, and providing assistance through our accounts payable help line. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Execute accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain meticulous records of customer credit

• Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner

• Monitor customer accounts and execute appropriate actions as required

• Audit employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies

• Prepare and execute weekly check runs

• Maintain systematic filing of departmental correspondence and checks

• Provide assistance and answer inquiries on the accounts payable help line

• Review invoices for use tax compliance

• Undertake additional tasks as requested or assigned Requirements - Possess proficiency in Account Reconciliation, making sure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP), handling vendor invoices and ensuring they are paid in a timely manner.

• Ability to perform Check Runs, ensuring all pending payments are processed and recorded accurately.

• Familiarity with Coding Invoices, accurately categorizing them for efficient record-keeping and future reference.

• Strong Data Entry skills, ensuring all financial data is correctly input into the company's database with high attention to detail.

• Expertise in Invoice Processing, verifying details and approving payments for all received invoices.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, using it to create spreadsheets, perform complex calculations, and manage financial data.

• Experience with Oracle, using its financial management systems to handle accounts payable tasks and related operations.
