Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are offering a temporary to permanent contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Miami, Florida. This role primarily revolves around managing the invoice process, vendor relationships, and account reconciliation. The successful applicant will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts payable function including matching and batching of invoices for payments

• Code invoices accurately for appropriate departmental allocation

• Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records

• Research and troubleshoot any discrepancies or issues in the invoice process

• Maintain strong vendor relationships and manage vendor communications

• Reconcile accounts on a weekly basis to ensure all payments and expenditures are up-to-date

• Monitor the aging of accounts and take necessary action to collect on overdue accounts.

• Execute the account payable process weekly

• Ensure all payable invoices are accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements - Proficient in managing weekly account payable

• Experience in account reconciliation

• Skilled in batching tasks and processes

• Knowledgeable in handling payable invoices

• Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively

• Familiarity with standard accounting software and tools

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
