Accounting Specialist

Description

We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our team, based in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role is set in a government contracting company and offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a range of tasks including handling billing, conducting reconciliations, and managing accounts payable and receivables.

Responsibilities

• Handling the billing process in a timely and accurate manner

• Conducting regular reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Managing accounts payable to maintain good relationships with suppliers

• Overseeing accounts receivable to ensure timely payment from clients

• Utilizing accounting software systems and ERP for efficient financial management

• Applying knowledge of federal government contracts in accounting tasks

• Leveraging QuickBooks Online for various accounting functions

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is desired.

• Must have experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Familiarity with Billing Functions is required.

• Previous experience working with Federal Government Contracts will be advantageous.

• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is a must.
