Accounting Coordinator, Burnaby, BC
When you join our team as a Accounting Coordinator , you will provide co-ordination and management of the customs process and accounting as well as
support in operational accounting and reporting for the Interfor Sales &
Marketing entities. This position supports the preparation of divisional financial
statements, reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reports.
What You'll Do
Manage all of Interfor's US and Canada Customs accounts.
Weeklypermit reconciliations for shipments to the US.
Weekly dutyreconciliations and payment, which includes reporting to treasury on upcoming payments.
Monthly shipment correction filings for US entries.
Balance sheet account reconciliations.
Provide support for internal and external audits.
Working as part of a team, this position will provide backup support to all members of the Sales & Marketing accounting and finance group.
Other ad hoc projects.
What You Offer
2-3 years experience in accounting.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel skills.
Knowledge and experience with the North American and Export lumber markets considered a strong asset.
Experience with Oracle Cloud, Lumbertrack and Tableau software would be an asset.
Positive and proactive attitude with a drive to succeed and deliver results.
Effective organization, planning, implementation, andfollow throughskills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to assist in meeting departmental deadlines.
Knowledge and application of internal controls.

What We Offer
Interfor has posted the following expected salary range that the company believes in good faith could be offered to successful candidates. The salary offered is benchmarked to current market conditions and will also be based on numerous factors which can include work experience, skills, credentials, education, and other relevant factors. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a competitive benefits package and be able to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Bonus plan, with the payout amount subject to individual and corporate performance. If you have any questions regarding our salary range or our total compensation package, our recruitment team will be happy to advise you on what you can expect from us.
Expected range: $65,000 - $76,000
