Accounting Clerk

This position supports the Accounting Team in ensuring timely and accurate management of the company accounting functions and internal controls. A majority of the time is spent working on a computer. Programs include: Microsoft Dynamics GP 10, Microsoft Excel, Word, Beanworks the year all of the accounting positions will be called upon to assist with or receive assistance from the accounting staff. During peak periods you may also be asked to provide temporary coverage in other areas of the resort.

• Maintain Outlook mailboxes and physical mailboxes
• Upload, code, and submit invoices and purchase orders
• Assist with weekly check run
• Maintain organized physical & electronic files of paid invoices
• Review vendor statements against current entries and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to inquiries regarding invoices and payments
• Assist with entering new vendors
• Manage various audit logs to ensure compliance among resort outlets
• Assist with auditing processes to ensure accuracy of all revenue postings
• Assist with reconciling deferred revenue accounts and ensure accuracy of all revenue postings or credit applications
• Assist with new vendor setup in our accounting systems
• Assist Revenue Audit and daily revenue reporting
• Data entry as assigned
• Reconcile revenue receipts
• Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma required
• Bookkeeping experience or a 2-4 year degree, preferably in Accounting or a related field, is preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Strong math skills required
• Computer literacy required
• Strong skills in Microsoft products required, i.e. Excel, Outlook
• Previous experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 preferred
• Prior data entry experience required
• Prior 10-key calculator experience preferred
• Prior accounting experience preferred

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holidays and Peak days. TSVI is in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.

95% of your time will be spent sitting/standing at your desk, on the computer.

Minimal time is spent otherwise, i.e. walking, lifting up to 25 lbs filing boxes
