Accounting Clerk

Description We are in search of a diligent Accounting Clerk to contribute to our team. Based in Newport News, Virginia, the role involves processing different accounts and managing data entry tasks. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the dairy farming industry.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Execute data entry tasks with a focus on numeric data

• Monitor and manage customer accounts effectively

• Take appropriate action based on account status

• Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records

• Promptly and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts and credit applications

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records

• Assist with other accounting tasks as needed Requirements - Possession of a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Demonstrated skills in Data Entry, specifically numeric

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures
