Accounting Clerk

Description

Robert Half is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. The Accounting Clerk will be essential in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. The role also requires a high level of accuracy and integrity, as well as the ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Accurately entering financial transactions into accounting software and maintaining and updating financial records.

• Processing invoices, verifying and reconciling expenses, and ensuring timely payment of bills.

• Generating invoices for accounts receivable and following up on overdue payments.

• Reconciling bank statements with company accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Providing administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data management, and correspondence.

• Assisting with closing activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Helping prepare documentation and responding to auditor inquiries during internal and external audits.

• Ensuring all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Requirements - Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in Billing procedures

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Experience with Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Oracle software

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Knowledge of SAP software

• Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or related field

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
