Direct-Hire / Permanent position

Work Model - full time onsite in the office 5 days per week

Robert Half has partnered with a valued client in the construction industry in their search of an Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to join their Accounting Department. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Assistant will handle AP invoice processing and AR reconciliations and general billing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Generating invoices, reconciliations

• Time and material billing

• Processing AP invoices

• Generating check runs /ACH batches /mailing checks

• Inventory calculations

Ideal experience

• AS or BS degree preferred

• 3+ years of AP and AR experience

• ERP or Accounting software experience

• MS Excel proficiency

Requirements

Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist

• Minimum of 1 year experience as an AP/AR Specialist or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in invoice processing and reconciliation

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas

• Familiarity with Sage 300 or similar accounting software

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong numerical skills and an understanding of financial processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proactive problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
