Accountant

Description

We are in the process of adding an Accountant to our team. This position is based in LAS CRUCES, New Mexico, United States. The role involves managing the organization's financial records and accounts in accordance with GAAP standards. As an Accountant, you will be integral to the financial operations, including the comprehensive oversight of Accounts Receivable, participation in various accounting procedures, and contribution to financial reports. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Accounts Receivable from daily operations to yearly evaluations

• Balance receivables and grants/contracts on a monthly basis

• Assist in maintaining accurate records of assets and property

• Conduct audit checks randomly and perform bank reconciliations

• Serve as a backup for Payroll and Accounts Payable roles when necessary

• Engage in detail oriented development training related to the role

• Manage revenue accounting and ensure records are audit-ready

• Use accounting software systems and ERP solutions effectively in daily tasks

• Apply knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) in handling accounting functions

• Participate in budget processes and auditing activities.

Requirements

• The applicant should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Accounting field.

Must have QuickBooks and bank reconciliation

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.

• Familiarity and hands-on experience with ADP - Financial Services is expected.

• The candidate should have practical knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Experience with ERP Solutions is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) will be a significant advantage.

• The candidate should be adept at handling all Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• The applicant should have exposure to Auditing processes.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential.
