    Our client in Sanford is currently seeking an individual with a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience to work as an Accountant! This is a temporary opportunity lasting approximately 6 months. Apply today!

    Pay: $29 per hour

    Location: Sanford, Maine

    Schedule: 40 hours/week

    What you'll be doing:

    • Supporting month-end financial close by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts

    • Analyzing key general ledger accounts

    • Preparing detailed monthly actual to budget variance reports

    • Maintaining internal controls by following policies and suggesting improvements for control and efficiency

    • Assisting with annual financial statement, retirement plan, and workers' comp audit preparation to ensure accurate and timely information

    Here's what you need to apply:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience

    • 2+ years of accounting experience

    • Basic understanding of ERP systems (Epicor a plus)

    • Cost accounting/manufacturing accounting background preferred
