Overview
THE ROLE:
Fixed Asset Accountant will work a hybrid schedule including working onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in here Winston-Salem, NC.Will be responsible for plant fixed asset accounting and other general accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Will perform SOX and operational compliance testing and reporting.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
Maintain Fixed Asset subsidiary ledger, account reconciliation.
Adhere to policies for capitalizing equipment purchases and other construction in progress activities
Prepare monthly fixed asset roll forward reconciliation
Complete government required reporting as necessary
Participate in Budget, forecast and monthly reporting activities.
Assist in process and system upgrades and enhancements
Interacts with other departments, such as Corporate Accounting, IT, Purchasing and Quality
Prepares special reports and assists in special projects as assigned by Management
Demonstrates initiative in all aspects of Plant Accounting
Ability to prioritize workload and meet department goals
Communicates effectively and clearly in verbal and written form
Performs quarterly SOX and operational compliance testing and remediation as necessary
Any account reconciliations and/or other projects or tasks as assigned

Qualifications
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Skills:
Addresses practical problems and handles a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Responds to common inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, and/or others
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to prioritize workload and multitask to meet deadlines, and carry out responsibilities with general supervision
Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data.
Proficient PC skills including MS Windows, Excel and Word
Strong team player and strong work ethic.
Experience:
3+ years accounting experience
3+ years prior fixed asset accounting experience
Education:
