    Job Title: Academic Instructor (Numeracy)

    Our organization is seeking a passionate Academic Instructor with a background in Numeracy to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching young adults and a strong desire to help them succeed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement lesson plans that align with the organization's curriculum and educational standards

    • Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and success

    • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians

    • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure the success of the organization's educational programs

    • Stay up to date with current teaching methods and educational trends in Numeracy

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Education, and a teaching credential

    • Experience teaching Numeracy to young adults

    • Passion for teaching and helping students succeed

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors and staff

    • Familiarity with current teaching methods and educational trends in Numeracy

    Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    Minimum: Bachelor's degree.

    Certified to teach in the state in which center is located. (RO may waive if the center is unable to hire a certified teacher, but the candidate must actively pursue certification along an agreed upon timeframe).

    Preferred: One year in a teaching capacity with disadvantaged youth.

    Knowledge: Knowledge of required subject area, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, excellent organizational skills, must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification, ability to motivate and inspire students, ability to effectively relate to student population.

    Compensation details: 30-36 Hourly Wage
