What You Can Expect:

• The genetic counselor will work at the St. Luke's Cancer Institute as part of a collaborative team of six genetic counselors evaluating patients for hereditary predisposition to cancer and benign hematologic conditions.

• Participate in partnerships, projects and strategic planning involving genetics across the Health System. Serve as a resource to physicians, hospital staff, and parents.

• Compile complete family history, obtain and review medical records, assess risk of genetic disease and provide grief and crisis counseling to individuals and/or families.

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

• Education: Master's Degree

• Licenses/Certifications: Certified or Board eligible, licensure from the state of practice, or provisional license before hire date
