    Job Summary

    The Effectors Center within Systems Integration & Test seeks talented Systems Engineers. Our Effectors team located in Tucson, Az integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts.

    What You Will Do

    • Stretch your capabilities and enhance learning with frontline, hands-on assignments

    • Relocate to different RTX cities/states while in program to broaden your exposure to the business and further develop your leadership and functional skills and business acumen

    • Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Flight Test activities in our labs, in the field, or at a test range

    • Test event support activity may require travel, which is not expected to exceed 15%

    • Support qualification of our products

    • Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment

    • Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB

    • Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders

    Qualifications You Must Have

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems Engineering, or Hard Sciences: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Computer Science, or other related discipline; degree must be obtained between December 2024 - May 30, 2025

    • This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    • Experience with tools, such as MATLAB or Python, for data analysis and automation

    • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • Cumulative 3.2 GPA

    • Experience with or exposure to various military platforms for weapons conveyance, such as ships, ground combat systems, fixed and rotary wing aircraft

    • Experience with using telemetry data collection equipment to capture real time data and/or real time monitoring

    • Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols

    • Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred

    • Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis

    • Experience with model-based systems engineering

    • Familiarity with DoD customer infrastructure with respect to command and control, telemetry, flight test, ISR, fixed wing, and/or rotary wing systems

    • Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle

    • Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills

    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

    The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
