Live Your Passion

Posted by in Career Advice

Your passion was given to you as a great gift. I believe everyone on earth was given a unique set of talents and gifts and has the opportunity to develop those talents and gifts to bless the world. Beethoven, Marie Currie, Steven Covey, George Washington, Florence Nightingale, Harriet Tubman, Rudy Giuliani, Michelangelo, Abraham Lincoln—each of these people heard the call and answered it. Imagine what the world would be like without each of them? How would things be different? What difference did they make in the lives of individuals around them? What's your call? How will the world remember you? When you’re not engaged in living your passion, life lacks meaning and purpose. When you’re living your passion, life is excited, an adventure and you are eager to make the lives of others better. You were meant to live large, whatever that may be. To be the very best husband, wife, father, mother you can be. To be the very best accountant, speaker, leader, salesperson, public worker, programmer, director, athlete, lawyer, doctor, business owner, nurse…you can possibly be. If you're not excited about what you do everyday, why not change it? Remember, you were endowed with great power to bless and affect mankind. Start with those around you; they’ll be glad you did. 1. Look for ways to develop your talents and gifts (if you aren’t sure what those are, ponder, meditate, ask others, consult your journal) 2. Encourage others as they develop and share their talents and gifts Live the life you were meant to live!
