Should You Work for a Small Company or a Large One?

As a job seeker, applying at the right type of company is just as important as applying for jobs that match your skills and level of experience. You might excel at a large company with clearly defined policies and procedures, or you might prefer to work at a smaller company with a more casual environment and room for growth. Either way, it's important to determine if you'd rather work for a large or small company.

There are many benefits to working at a large company. One of them is the opportunity to work in an environment with a strong culture. Large companies have typically been in business for some time, so it's easier to figure out the best way to advance your career in such a company. Because large companies usually have very clear standards, you won't have to guess at the best way to win a promotion or receive recognition for your work.

Large companies usually offer better compensation and benefits packages than smaller ones. If you decide to work for a large company, you might also have access to perks such as tuition reimbursement or free lunches on Fridays.
